Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Rambl (“we”, “us”, “rambl.uk”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what your rights are.

Who we are

Rambl is a UK-based countryside, history and folklore website. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can contact us at hello@rambl.uk.

What we collect

If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address, and nothing else unless you choose to provide it. This is stored using MailPoet, a plugin running on our own WordPress hosting.

If you purchase a digital guide, your payment is handled entirely by Payhip, a third-party checkout provider. We do not see or store your card details. Payhip’s own privacy policy covers how they handle payment information.

General site visits. Like most websites, we use basic analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. This does not identify you personally.

Why we collect it

  • To send you emails you’ve asked to receive, such as new articles or guide updates
  • To deliver a digital product you’ve purchased
  • To understand which content is useful, so we can write more of what people actually want

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

Our site may use basic cookies for functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some site features may not work as well as a result.

Affiliate links

Some links on Rambl are affiliate links (for example, to Amazon or Decathlon). If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect what data we hold about you personally, it’s handled entirely by the retailer.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask what data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Unsubscribe from our email list at any time, using the link in any email we send

To exercise any of these, just email hello@rambl.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page occasionally as the site grows. The date at the top will always show when it was last changed.
